Carga: Modernity in Man Bags

Sunday, December 28th, 2008

Most guys don’t give two winks about looking great all the time, but some of the more enlightened ones do and I’ve got just the thing for you. Carga, a bag designer for men. Their philosophy is simple - use industrial construction techniques and unusual materials to create distinct modern bags. There are four styles available in heavy felt wool and leather ranging in size from purse to portfolio. I love the material, the unusual and distinctive looks of the bags. While a leather bag undoubtedly has a classic timelessness, something about the gray felt has an equal timelessness in my mind. And then there’s the details: leather straps, understated labeling, metal fixtures, even the built-in handle is edgy and unusual. I can’t wait for more styles in the future. I believe Carga has struck a proper cord between handbags and the male gender and since briefcases are out of the fashion zone, men need a new bag for work and for pleasure.

I’d just like to point out the design and style of the site is also fantastic. Simple, informative, and with great product photography. Enjoy. Carga Bags
